KSMA is undoubtedly the gold standard for medical education in Central Asia. The clinical exposure at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 and the National Hospital gives you real patient contact starting from the 3rd year. Anatomy cadaver dissections are extensive. Professors are demanding but fair. After graduating in 2024, I passed the Indian FMGE exam on my first attempt.

Manas is phenomenal. You pay virtually 0 som for world-class education funded jointly by Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. The campus at Djal is massive with football fields, tennis courts, modern laboratories, and a dining hall where a complete hot 3-course lunch costs under $1. Instruction is in Turkish, Kyrgyz, and English. Highly recommend preparing for the KTMU entrance test.
KSTU (Политех) has the most respected STEM faculty in the country. The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications and the German Technical Faculty give you serious mathematical foundation. Many tech companies in Bishkek and Astana recruit directly from KSTU hackathons. High availability of state budget grants (Бюджетные места).
IHSM caters exceptionally well to South Asian and Middle Eastern international students. Lectures and clinical seminars are conducted completely in English. The administration provides dedicated USMLE and PMDC preparation modules alongside standard medical courses. Safe international hostels with halal and vegetarian catering.
OshSU has grown into one of the largest educational institutions in Central Asia. The International Medical Faculty (IMF) hosts thousands of students from over 20 countries. Living in Osh is significantly more affordable than Bishkek — rent, fresh fruits, and transport cost nearly half of capital prices. Excellent university dental clinic.
